Life Threatening? No
Write-up: This spontaneous report was received from a consumer and refers to a 13 year old female patient. No information regarding the patient''s medical history, concurrent conditions and concomitant medication was reported. On 22-OCT-2012, the patient was vaccinated with GARDASIL, parenterally (dose, anatomical location, lot # and expiration date were not provided). On 22-OCT-2012, the patient experienced acute migraine, intermittent paralysis, chronic fatigue, chronic pain, dizziness, generalised muscle weakness, nausea. The patient stated: "It was not listed but I suffer from intermittent paralysis in my lower legs where for several hours/ days at a time, I cannot move my feet or lower legs. They have to be physically lifted into my wheelchair. Seek advice details: I have to attend frequent doctor''s appointments to try to manage my symptoms because they are severely limiting my quality of life. The vaccine has caused problems that my doctors cannot explain. All medications were started after I received the vaccine and were started a year or more later so I do not deem them relevant at all to my vaccine injury. I have since been diagnosed with Ehlers Danlos Syndrome (EDS) and have found out that many girls diagnosed with EDS have also been vaccine injured by GARDASIL." The outcome of acute migraine, intermittent paralysis, chronic fatigue, chronic pain, dizziness, generalised muscle weakness, nausea was reported as not recovered/not resolved. The outcome of EDS was unknown. Additional information is not expected.
