Write-up: Information has been received from Sanofi Pasteur MSD (MFR Control number NO-1577272925-2015001019) on 18-DEC-2015. Case received from a lawyer (Patient Insurance Company (PIC) via company representative) on 14-DEC-2015. A 12-year-old female adolescent patient received GARDASIL (batch/lot number unknown, Dose 1) on 29-SEP-2011. The patient experienced post viral fatigue syndrome/CFS/Chronic fatigue syndrome on 29-SEP-2011. The case is considered serious due to seriousness criteria disability. The patient received dose 2 and 3 of GARDASIL (batch/lot no. not reported) on 01-DEC-2011 and 27-APR-2012. A physician has attached an epicrises dated 18-JUN-2014: The patient has been stable in her health apart from no school visits, but is otherwise homeschooled. There is as previously good contact with the school and counselor and one envisions the same during start of 10th grade. We review different options and how one should deal with this diagnosis. They have received advice regarding vitamins and other dietary supplements, probiotica, as well as increased fluid and salt intake etc. BP is measured today to 110/65. See no grounds for starting with FLORINEF as of today. She has received the above mentioned diagnosis and this can be used in future collaboration with the school and primary care. According to an attachment in the claim: The patient has had very limited to no participation in school since November 2012. Testimony and grading in various subjects was achieved based on homeschooling. This to be able to qualify for future schools. She was under special conditions accepted to a school in the fall of 2015. After a couple of weeks, it was clear that she was not capable to follow the planned syllabus, such as it was decided together with the school that a sabbatical year would be the most beneficial. The patient''s outcome was reported as Not Recovered/Not Resolved.
