Write-up: This spontaneous social media report as received from a 13 year old patient of unknown gender with chronic pain refers to herself/himself. Information was obtained from a web page. Information regarding the patient''s other relevant medical history and concomitant medications was not reported. In approximately March 2011 (reported as "4 years ago"), the patient was vaccinated with GARDASIL (dose, route of administration, lot# and expiration date were not reported). The reporter stated that from that very day the reporter had never felt right. In approximately April 2011 (reported as after a month of receiving that injection) the patient''s health deteriorated rapidly. The patient''s back had caused them severe pain that had them lying in bed for a year. The patient was diagnosed with degenerative disc disease and had been given epidurals to stop the pain. On an unknown date, reported as soon after the patient''s back, the patient got extremely fatigued to the point the patient was falling asleep everywhere and had to get at least 2 naps a day in order to function. On an unknown date, the patient got severely depressed and had suffered from panic attacks. Then on an unknown date, the patient got diagnosed with hypothyroidism and had been seeing a doctor for that for months so they could get the patient''s dose right. Even though the dose was right and the patient''s thyroid had gained a balanced hormone level, the patient was still having the symptoms. Then on an unknown date, both the patient''s wrists disabled themselves and the patient couldn''t use the patient''s wrists. They found ganglion cysts growing in the joints of the patient wrists but they were not big enough to be causing that amount of pain. Then on an unknown date, the patient went to get cysts aspirated and had steroids injected into the patient''s wrists. Still then the patient''s wrist were in agony. Then after a few weeks of getting patient''s wrists done, the patient''s body started to get terrible chronic pain everywhere. The patient had always suffered from chronic pain and the patient thought it was nothing just the patient''s muscles aching because maybe the patient did something to them playing football. On an unknown date (reported as just before Christmas of unknown year), the patient was diagnosed with fibromyalgia and had to be put into a rehabilitation hospital for nearly a month to try learn to deal with the chronic pain. At the time of the report, the patient was getting tested for Lyme''s disease and Bartonella, as the patient was showing the rash all over the patient''s body (onset date unspecified) and had been told all the time that it was just stretch marks. The patient started to take low dose naltrexone. It was meant to have done wondered for Lyme''s disease and fibromyalgia. The patient stated that the GARDASIL destroyed the patient''s health. The outcome of the events of fibromyalgia, ganglion cysts, degenerative disc disease, health deterioration, falling asleep everywhere, depression, panic attacks, stretch marks, hypothyroidism, pain in wrists and extremely fatigue was unknown. The outcome of the events of rash all over the body and never felt right was not recovered/not resolved. The patient stated that the events were related to GARDASIL and was looked into getting compensation because of what had happened to the patient from the vaccination. The events of ganglion cysts in the joints of the patient''s wrists, pain in wrists and degenerative disc disease were considered as disabling by the patient. This is one of several reports received from the same source. Additional information has been requested.
