Write-up: This spontaneous report was received from the local news (local radio, television, and online newspaper) concerning to a female patient of approximately 19 to 20 years (discrepancy among media news). Information regarding the patient''s medical history, concurrent conditions or concomitant therapy was not provided. On an unspecified date in May 2013, the patient was vaccinated with the first dose of GARDASIL 0.5 ml injection (strength, lot number and expiration date were not provided), 0.5 ml intramuscular. Subsequently, on an also unspecified date in May 2013, after the vaccination, the patient experienced muscle numbness, movement disorder (no specific description was provided) and dizziness. On 25-OCT-2013, the patient was vaccinated with the second dose of GARDASIL 0.5 ml injection (strength, lot number and expiration date were not provided), 0.5 ml intramuscular. On the same month, also after vaccination, the patient experienced headache, diarrhoea, vomiting and pyrexia. Later, on an unknown date in 2014, the patient experienced mobility decreased in her limbs. Then on the same year, she got quadriplegic and, according to the news, in 2014, she was diagnosed with demyelinating polyneuropathy (there was no exact description or clear information concerning when or where the diagnosis was given). In 2015, the patient experienced the first respiratory arrest and recovered from it on an unknown date in the same year. Consequently, on 06-AUG-2015 at 19:-00, the patient experienced the second respiratory arrest and died from it. It was unknown if an autopsy was performed. At the time of this report, the patient had not recovered from quadriplegia. The outcome of demyelinating polyneuropathy, vomiting, pyrexia, headache, dizziness, diarrhoea, hypoaesthesia, movement disorder and mobility decreased was unknown.
