Write-up:This case was reported by the regulatory authority (Regulatory Agency # GB-MHRA-EYC 00110583) and described the occurrence of viral infection in a 13-year-old female subject who was vaccinated with CERVARIX. On 5 October 2011 the subject received unspecified dose of CERVARIX. On unknown dates the subject experienced viral infection, headache, dizziness, nausea, tiredness, back pain and joint pain. On 23 January 2014, the subject was diagnosed with fibromyalgia. The regulatory authority reported that the events were disabling. Relevant test results included a normal blood test and a normal xray on 1 April 2013. At the time of reporting the events were unresolved. MHRA Verbatim Text: Initially the patient caught of lot of viruses and felt very tired and pain in her back and hips. Hip pain got worse- so x-rays were done which were normal. The joint pain all ovre which continued to get worse which is when we sought advice from General Practitioner- blood tests ruled out arthritis. Seen by consultatn in the Summer who referred her to a specialist. Approximately 8 months after CERVARIX- diagnosed with Fibromyalgia. Seek Advice Details: Numerous General Practitioner appointments and blood tests. Appointment with paediatric rheumatologist. Appointment with specialist who diagnosed Fibromyalgia. Has had numerous viruses, headaches, dizziness, nausea and has been diagnosed with Fibromyalgia.
