Write-up:Information was obtained on a request by the Company from the agency via a Public Case Detail (Local reference # AUS/11/1457; OPR289768) concerning a 12 year old female patient who on 20-AUG-2011 was vaccinated IM with a 0.5 ml dose of GARDASIL (Lot number not reported). On 28-AUG-2011 the patient experienced right Bell''s palsy. The patient was given oral steroids for treatment. On 30-AUG-2011 the patient recovered. The agency considered that right Bell''s palsy was possibly related to therapy with GARDASIL. It was unspecified whether the patient sought medical attention. Right Bell''s palsy was considered to be disabling by the agency. The original reporting source was not provided. Additional information is not expected.
