Write-up:My Son, y Son, Justin Lee Faris is in the Navy at school in Great Lakes, Ill. He received the H1n1 shot on Monday 9-21-09. He called me last night to tell me that he had a severe stomach ache all day today - tried to eat and about 11:00 pm ended up throwing up and was very concerned because there was a significant amount of blood in the matter he threw up. He went to the watch and they took him to the emergency room where they gave him one day of sick in quarters. I don''t know what the diagnosis was, but usually you are pretty ill to get SIQ. My son never has stomach aches. Rarely throws up. Never has thrown up blood. He was not running a fever, but the whole event scared him enough that he asked me what he thought he should do because they Navy doesn''t like people to "cry" sick. I told him to make them take him to the emergency room. (I know how this works because I am retired from the Navy).
