Write-up:Information has been received from a Health Authority (ref. # 2009-02926) concerning a 16 year old female patient with no pertinent medical history reported who on 30-MAR-2009 was vaccinated with the first dose of GARDASIL (Lot # 0160X and Batch # NJ30960) intramuscularly into her left arm. On 03-APR-2009, she developed a neuropathy of the right arm. She received the second dose of GARDASIL (Lot # 1648U and Batch # NH55600) via intramuscular route on 08-JUN-2009. In the following days she developed a neuropathy of the right leg. Laboratory work-up was complete and without particularity. A MRI was planned. There was no other information. At the time of reporting, the patient had not recovered. The Health Authorities considered that causal relationship between neuropathy and the vaccination as possible in the absence of other etiologies. A corrective version was created on 31-JUL-2009 to rectify the batch number of the first dose (NJ30960 instead of NJ20960). The primary reporter considered neuropathy to be significant disability/disabling. Other business partner numbers include: E2009-06530. No further information is available.
