Write-up: Information has been received from a health professional concerning a 17 year old female who in November 2006, was vaccinated with a first dose of HPV vaccine (yeast). In December 2006, the patient tested positive for human immunodeficiency virus (HIV). The HIV test was performed in December 2006 when the patient donated blood. Unspecified medical attention was sought. The patient had 2 subsequent HIV tests. The first test was "equivocal" and the second test was negative. It was reported that the patient was not sexually active and did not use intravenous (IV) drugs. At the time of the report, the patient''s outcome was unknown. Additional information has been requested.
