Symptoms: Injection site pain, Injection site swelling, Rash, Swelling
Write-up: Swelling immediately after vaccine was administered, also rash. Ice pack was applied for 5 minutes and swelling decreases. Rash was still visible, but cream was applied. This is in follow-up report(s) previously submitted on 8/10/2006. Information has been received from a physician concerning a 17 year old female who on an unspecified date was vaccinated with 0.5 ml dose of GARDASIL. Subsequently, the patient experienced painful, swelling "the size of a golf balll" at the injection site. Unspecified medical attention was sought. No diagnostic laboratory studied were performed. The patient recovered by "the next day." Additional information has been requested.
