Write-up: Case number PHEH2015US017995, is an initial spontaneous report received from a physician via sales representative on 10 Sep 2015. This report refers to a 19 year old male patient. Historical condition included asthma, vocal cord dysfunction, acne and vitamin D deficiency all these were well controlled and not active at time of immunization. Concomitant medications were not reported. He was vaccinated with first dose of BEXSERO (batch number: 148901A) at dose of 0.5 ml intramuscularly into left deltoid and FLUARIX (batch number: 7AJ5J) at a dose of 0.5 ml intramuscularly into right deltoid both on 03 Sep 2015 at 2:20 PM. On 08 Sep 2015, after vaccination, the patient experienced some chills, woke with myalgia, tactile fever and no rash. On 10 Sep 2015, the patient experienced paresthesia described as prickly stuff on the chest /abdomen not fingers or toes (prickly pain on his chest and arms that hurts to the touch), sore neck and red left eye/ redness of the eye. Clinical neurological examination shows no imaging, physical exam was normal and he had a good deep tendon reflexes. He was prescribed corticosteroids inhaled but he was not taking. The outcome of the event sore neck was not reported, some chills, woke with myalgia, tactile fever completely recovered by the end of day on 08 Sep 2015, paresthesia described as prickly stuff on the chest /abdomen completely recovered within 2 to 3 days from onset and for other red left eye/ redness of the eye it was reported as condition unchanged. The seriousness of the event tactile fever was not reported and for other events it was reported as non serious. The causality of the events myalgia, chills, paresthesia and red left eye were reported as suspected as related to BEXSERO and for other events it was not reported. Follow up report from the physician received on 26 Oct 2015: added new event (tactile fever), updated suspect products information (date, time, route, and dose), medical history, and outcome of the events (myalgia, chills, paresthesia and tactile fever), changed onset date of event from 07 Sep 2015 to 08 Sep 2015 (myalgia, chills).

Write-up: This case was reported by a pharmacist via regulatory authority and described the occurrence of fever in 2-month-old male patient who received BEXSERO. In 2015, the patient received the 1st dose of BEXSERO (intramuscular). In 2015, several hours after receiving BEXSERO, the patient experienced fever (serious criteria hospitalization). The patient was treated with paracetamol. On an unknown date, the outcome of the fever was recovered/resolved. It was unknown if the reporter considered the fever to be related to BEXSERO. Additional details were provided as follows: The fever started some hours after administration of BEXSERO and lasted for approximately 1 day. The fever required hospital urgency where the infant stayed one night by precaution. The fever resolved after receiving specific treatment with paracetamol. Write-up: Right sided heaviness and left facial droop that was transient. Patient had no further symptoms until 12/16/2015 at 10:38 PM when he was found to be having a probable absence seizure. He was again seen in the ED and CT scan of head was normal. He has no previous history of seizures.
